The 2 Secret Questions Every Prospect Always Has

The 2 Secret Questions Every Prospect Always Has

1. "Can I Trust You? "

The internet is full of faceless strangers who bombard users with promises of wealth and success. You have to distinguish yourself from these con artists! Make sure your prospect has all of your contact information. Don't hide behind an email address or a website. Give them your phone number, give them your instant messengers. People want to know that there's a real person behind your message. Put pictures of yourself on your website. Anything you can do to make yourself more real, more human, will help establish trust.

Be consistent. Many people will wait to respond to your messages. They want to see if you're another fly by night operator who will be promoting the next hot new opportunity the following week. Show them that you are consistent. Show them that you believe in your company's longevity and the benefits it has to offer.

Be yourself. Show your prospects your quirks. Give them a glimpse of your life. How can they trust you if they don't know anything about you?

Get to know your prospects. Find out about their life. Look for things you have in common. Things that you can bond over. If you haven't yet spoken to your prospect, think about things that everyone in your target market has in common. Focus on those points in your email. Be honest at all times. Don't make promises that you can't keep. Don't give guarantees of how much money a person can make. Don't gloss over the work it takes to build an online business. You will not only gain a person's trust this way but also their respect.

2. "Can I Do This?"

One of the nice things about Network Marketing is that it really is a personal growth experience. You must work on yourself more than any other aspect of your business. You must change the way you think, the way you perceive reality. I touched on these points in the first part of the course. They are an essential part of a successful career in this field.

But how many of us start off with such high self-confidence? How many of us go into this business knowing without a doubt that we are going to be hugely successful? Not many! Most of us started right here. With Fear of not being good enough. Fear of being ridiculed. Fear of FAILURE. These are powerful emotions and they must be addressed.

Your prospect needs

to know that everyone starting out has had these same fears and doubts. Even the "heavy hitters". Read any biography on an MLM giant and they will see it firsthand. Remind your prospect that we are all a work in progress, each at our own stage of development. Let them know that your company is filled with people just like them, who learned how to be successful in network marketing. Share your story with them. Get testimonials from teammates.

Personalize the experience for your prospect. Have them visualize another time in their life when they felt the same fear of failure, the same doubts about being able to accomplish a certain goal. Maybe it was learning to drive, maybe starting a new job or taking an extremely tough class. Now remind them how wonderful they felt when they did succeed! How proud, how sticking it out was completely worth it in the end. Remind them of the benefits they will receive by joining and sticking with your company.

Let them know that they will not only receive a business opportunity, but they will be shown a way to eliminate those doubts in their head and become more self confident in every aspect of their life. I can't think of one network marketing company that doesn't have an educational component to its business. If not directly, from somewhere in the ranks, usually one of the top producers. These heavy hitters know that personal development is the key to success and they share it with their downline. Let them know they will be given the tools they need to succeed.

Make them aware that there will be a learning curve. Be honest with what they can expect to do. Tell them from the beginning that they must stick with the program for at least a year to see the best results.

Assure them that you will be there to help them. Let them know they will have a team available to guide them along. Make sure they understand that the most important step in achieving success is getting started! Your prospect will probably never ask you these 2 questions. But you must address them! If you can get these two points across successfully, you will have earned their trust and given them some much needed confidence in their abilities.
