Harvesting The Cream Is Easy
Harvesting The Cream Is Easy.. So Why Don't More Businesses Do
It?
It takes more time, money and effort to acquire a new customer
than it does to sell something to an existing customer. Having a
relationship with your existing customer base is the most
valuable asset your business has...if you can harvest it
properly.
Most businesses today spend a fortune on getting a customer to
purchase their product/service and then just file away the name
and never re-solicit that customer again. Big mistake. Huge
mistake.
Re-selling, cross selling is where the real profits are made in
any business. And it's the easiest money you could ever make. An
existing customer is already pre-disposed to buy from you again.
So take advantage of it. It's easy.
If you were to provide your users with helpful suggestions on
how to use your products, how to better re-sell your products,
and also subtly tell them about other products and services you
have, you have many opportunities to sell them on other products
and services you have to offer.
Microsoft and other large successful companies do this all the
time. They make more sales from upgrade than from existing
sales. No matter what product Microsoft wants to launch, I can
guarantee you, they will have people buying from them. This is
free advertising for them. You too can use this system.
To have a sustainable business model, you need recurring sales.
Often times, when a customer buys something from you, you simply
file it away. However, you are missing one of the most precious
asset you have. YOUR CUSTOMER BASE. This is a source of a huge
opportunity to cross sell your other products and keep your
users informed of the latest developments of your
company/industry or field of interest. By keeping a relationship
with your customers, you increase their awareness of you, and
consequently retain better recurring sales.
Humans are creatures of habit. If they buy from you once, they
are more likely to come back to you and buy from you
again...assuming they were satisfied with your products and
services.
For example, if a customer buys a pair of ladies pants from you,
there is a good possibility (assuming you have treated them well
and they were satisfied with you service), they would not mind
receiving emails from time to time (say every two months)
inviting them back to your site to buy other ladies clothing
items. Especially if the item was on sale.
You might not even make anything off the initial product sale,
but you get three very important benefits. 1) You add another
customer to your list. 2) You get them into the habit of coming
back to your site so they are more likely to book mark your
site. 3) They will very likely buy other things from you while
they are at your site. This is where the real money is made.
Isn't that worth the effort?
To Maximize This Concept You Need Two Things:
1. Additional products or services that enhance, add to or are
a logical extension of your original product. Whether these are
your products or somebody else's. 2. An automated follow up
system that does all the work for you. So nothing falls through
the cracks and a system that relieves you of all the daily
drudgery of manual follow up.
On the net today there are very sophisticated tools that can
handle the follow up for you. Get response is one of the tools I
use, it has follow up messages which are delivered by e-mail.
It's easy to generate cash flow from your business any time you
want it. You just need the right tools and a profitable backend.
And today those tools are here. Take advantage of them.
1.Internet Marketing Direct Marketing - Direct marketing is
advertising that asks people to take action. It directs them to
respond by requesting more information or to buy the product on
the spot. Direct marketing can be done in magazines, radio, mail
and the Internet as well.
An example of direct marketing is when you watch an infomercial
on TV and they give you a phone number to call to place an
order. The infomercial did the selling and then they give you
the phone number so you can take action.
Typically direct marketing campaigns needs a minimum of 4x
profit margin or higher in order to be successful. Many
direct
marketing campaigns lose money up front or breakeven, because
they are designed to make the money on back end marketing -
secondary sales after the first sale.
Straight direct marketing campaigns will not work for most
network marketing products because there is not enough profit
margins to be able to afford expensive advertising campaigns.
There are some exceptions.
But MANY direct marketing techniques can be used in an online
business building system for Internet Based Network Marketers.
Internet Marketing - Internet marketing is simply using the
Internet instead of another medium such as TV or magazines to
advertise.
The Internet is: 1) Highly Interactive (email, video
conferencing, autoresponders, multi-media, etc) 2) Information
intensive 3) The ultimate environment for creating sales
systems, because of the controls you can build into web sites
through design, copy, multi-media and programming. 4) Worldwide
access 5) 24 hours a day 6) Speed The drawbacks for Internet
marketing are: 1) It can be VERY impersonal. 2) People do not
always trust making purchases from strangers or unknown web
sites. 3) We are in the transition period of people getting used
to the Internet being part of their everyday life. Not everyone
is familiar with all the things the Internet can do.
An Internet Based Network Marketer can use ALL of the assets of
Internet marketing very effectively. Just applied differently
than some other types of marketing. In addition many of the
negatives of Internet Marketing can actually be turned into
positives, because of the personal relationship building aspect
of network marketing.
These 3 types of marketing are all disciplines that an Internet
Based Network Marketer can strategically borrow from at times.
But in order to do that, you MUST have a DEEP understanding of
the differences of each these disciplines.
Or you won't know, what each one has to offer or which one to
borrow from and when.
That does not necessarily mean you have to have a deep
understanding of these disciplines, just the people who design
the system.
Network marketers who mistakenly follow after any one or all of
these other marketing disciplines in search of the Holy Grail of
success usually end up abandoning the TWO things that make
network marketing the MOST powerful marketing discipline of ALL.
Word of Mouth Advertising and Personal Relationships.
This common mistake is just ONE of the reasons why Network
Marketers are failing to build their business through the
Internet.
I am going to challenge you to start taking this business
seriously and start acting like a professional. If you want to
make good money in network marketing, you need to start thinking
and operating like someone who makes good money.
I am not going to sugar coat it. I am not going to tickle your
ears.
I am going to tell it to you like it is. And you can take this
information and ignore it or apply it. It's up to you. But what
I am going to give you is the foundation for being a SUCCESSFUL
Internet based Network Marketer.
Let's start by knocking down a few misconceptions.
Most people attempting Internet Based Network Marketing get
involved in activities like.
1.Hiding behind a computer to avoid talking with people.
2.Programming or designing web sites. 3.Joining every biz opp
deal that comes their way - legitimate or not. 4.Blasting out
emails to their buddies about the HOT money game of the week.
If you are doing any or all of the above activities, and not
having the success you desire, I am here to tell you that. You
MUST understand what Network Marketing is, before you can be an
Internet Based Network Marketer. From my E-book, Robert Nixon
